Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest transactions you will ever make in your life. So, having the best person to assist you in this process is essential. Often people select a real estate agent based on recommendation from a friend or family member. This by any means is not wrong, nor a bad place to start. However, you should do some scouting to make sure you end up choosing the right real estate agent for you and your needs. Meeting and interviewing a few potential realtors give you the opportunity to ask questions, learn about their experience, working style, determine their areas of expertise, and level of professionalism. You want to work with someone who is going to show up on time, has a great history of making deals happen in your market, and who will clearly address all of your questions and concerns.
Here are some questions you can ask when choosing a realtor when either selling or buying:
Buyers:
Sellers:
1. How long has this home been on the market? |
1.What is your advertising/ marketing plan for my house? |
2. Is there anything about the house that concerns you |
2.How often will you commincate with me? |
3.What if I am not satisfied with your service? |
3.How many homes have you sold in my neighbourhood in the past? |
4.Is real estate a full-time job for you? |
4.How do you arrive at the listing price? |
5.What's the first step? |
5.Reference of past clients |
