From Halloween, to art, to fundraising awareness and historical events, there is something for everyone happening this month.
Get dressed up in your Halloween best attend Harmony Square Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2, 2021 for their annual Scare in the Square. Downtown Brantford turns into a spooktacular place this year filled with fall and Halloween themed events. Activities include Drive-in Haunt Movie Night (17+), Character Meet and Greets, 80’s-themed and Zombie Roller Skating, Casper’s Craft Corner, HOWL-o-ween Dog Parade, costume contests, Mad Science workshops and more! Take your photo with scarecrow and pumpkin displays throughout the square. You can also bring a food donation for the Brantford Food Bank.

Celebrating their 150th year, Glenhyrst Art Gallery and Gardens are hosting an outdoor gallery to see the winning photos from Summer 2021 Photo Contest. Brant Waterways Foundation is hosting this educational, fun event featuring safe activities for all ages, give-aways and the chance to win great prizes.

A Walk Towards Truth is an event for personal reflection or to share the experience with family and friends. Starting at 9am at the Brantford Civic Centre with reflections from a residential school survivor continuing with a 21 km journey on foot past the Woodland Cultural Centre (the former Mohawk Institute Residential School) towards Six Nations, the home of many of the children. At approximately 4:00 pm. we will complete this Walk Towards Truth with closing reflections. Funds raised will go to Woodland Cultural Centre for traditional language education and resource development.

Ghost Encounters is a Haunted Hayride and barn held at Brantwood Farms. It runs the last two Friday and Saturday nights of October. Proceeds go to Participation Support Services Brantford.
