456 days, or, a year and 3 months ago, I started working as an assistant with The Platinum Living Realty Team. Now, as my time here comes to an end, I want to take some time to tell everyone what a wonderful experience this opportunity has been, and how lucky I feel to have been a part of The Platinum Living Realty Team.
During my time here I’ve learned more than I expected to, experienced challenges, got to interact with some great people, helped support an amazing cause, had fun, and had a few laughs as well. When I started working with Jody and Paula Tysoski, I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect. This was my first job in the field of office administration, and I had never worked in an environment that was anywhere close to that of a real estate brokerage before.
As time went on, I really started to enjoy the work I was doing and the atmosphere of the brokerage. I loved learning about real estate and about the clients Jody and Paula were working with, and I was happy that I was finally able to apply the skills and knowledge I gained from earning my executive office administration diploma to a real-world workplace.
Every day had something different to offer. Whether I was working on our monthly newsletters, creating information sheets, writing for the blog, working with the database, helping to plan client appreciation events, or promoting listings on social media, I was always busy and always learning. One thing that I admire the most about Jody and Paula is the way the treat their clients. I always felt that they looked beyond the transaction and really got to know the people and families they were working with, they always did the absolute best that they could for these people, going above the call of duty and making them part of a “real estate family.” As their employee, I felt as though they did so much to make me feel welcome and a part of everything as well, and I will always appreciate that. I think that when you start working in any business, your goal should be to offer as much as you can, do the best job that you can, and hopefully leave things a little better than they were when you got there.
I also think that it should be an opportunity for growth, and I know that I’ve learned skills from working with Jody and Paula that I will take to my next position and beyond, and because I’ve worked here, I’m a little better than I was when I got here. I never pictured myself working with a real estate team, but this experience has brought me more than I expected, and I couldn’t have asked for a better first job in the office administration field. I wish everyone here all the success in the world, and I know that all the admin tasks are in extremely capable hands with Lexi Tysoski. Working with Jody, Paula, and more recently Lexi, hashas been a fantastic part of the last 456 days.
