What to Plant in Your Garden in March

  • Onions, Potatoes, and Peas - Plant these around March 24th or, if the ground is still frozen, as soon as the ground thaws.

  • Tomatoes, Peppers, and Eggplants - Start these indoors around March 14th, then trasplant them into the ground in May when no frost is forecast.

  • Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Lettuce and Spinach - start them indoors around March 14th and then transplant them into the garden around May 3rd.

  • Lavender - The best time to plant lavender to have blooms by summer is the middle to end of March.
