Winter Renovation Tips

 
I don’t know about you, but I dislike the cold. I would much rather be inside sitting next to the cozy fire than out in the snow and wind. 
Spending so much time indoors might make you a little stir crazy, So why not try some of these easy renovating ideas! Keeping yourself busy, learning a new skill, bettering your home AND having fun, all at the same time!
 

1. Calk your Baseboards and Trim

This might not be a long term fix, but if there are gaps between your baseboards and trim against the wall, this will keep it looking sharp for years.

2. Paint your rooms. 

With the heat on high and no humidity the paint should dry nice and quick!

3. Put up or upgrade your shelves.

A great and easy way to decorate your home and find places for those table top décor items!

4. Backsplash

5. Upgrade Kitchen Cabinets and Knobs

Take on big projects in the winter when you’re stuck inside, including updating kitchen cabinetry. Cabinet design and details are critical in making upgrades to a kitchen. New knobs can change to look of your kitchen or bathroom.

6. Put in Organizational Shelves

Winter is perfect time to go through all your old things. Why not create an organized place to put them all.

7. Change Your Shower Faucet

Upgrading your faucets can be a great way to increase the look of your bathroom.

8. Fireplaces

Winters can be very cold so why not upgrade your fireplace to keep you even cozier throughout the season. You can change the frame with easy to cut stacked stone or just add a wood frame.

These can get dingy after a few years, upgrade them with new ones! You can even find interesting ones online!

10. Take on Woodworking Projects

Everyone knows that there are fewer distractions in the winter, so they take all the items of their DIY project to-do list and get them done during the colder months. Such projects could include a new bench or coffee table.


 
 
 
 
Bonus! Indoor Garden or Herb Garden,
This one may just be for fun, it doesn’t really better your home. Although, it is said that having healthy plants in your home makes it more appealing to home buyers.
